The Hamlet Social Group offers an informal and enjoyable opportunity for Trainees to socialise outside of their regular activities at The Hamlet.
Outside of The Hamlet, the parents have organised ‘ The Hamlet Social Group’. This is an opportunity for Trainees to get together in an informal way, outside of The Hamlet and socialise with each other. These events are always the topic of conversation and are well loved by all who attend. They started from just a few Trainees meeting up to now almost all Trainees participating. It is not just the Trainees who have benefited from this group; it also gives the parents the opportunity to socialise with each other, share their experiences and support one and other.
Through these events the parents have strengthened their support network with each other and created a wonderful community outside of The Hamlet as well.
The Hamlet Social Group is more than just a chance to socialise—it’s about creating lasting friendships, building strong support networks and fostering a sense of belonging. Through these gatherings, both trainees and parents come together, share experiences and grow stronger as a community, proving that the connections we make outside of The Hamlet are just as important as the ones we create within.
The Hamlet Wigan CIC empowers adults with additional needs through bespoke pathways, fostering independence, skills and lifelong friendships.
