Empowering Growth through the Duke of Edinburgh Award

All Trainees who attend The Hamlet have the opportunity to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh Award and gain their Silver and Gold Award. With the help of the Duke Of Edinburgh Lead, Simon, our Trainees are guided through the 4 elements: Skill, Volunteering, Physical and an Expedition tailored for each individual.

We are passionate about The Duke of Edinburgh work because of the amazing opportunities it opens up to the Trainees. It enables the Trainees to develop new skills, engage in new experiences and build their confidence in a safe and nurturing way.

After years of hard work, the Trainees who achieve their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award attend a celebration at Buckingham Palace!

Skills

Developing practical and social skills and personal interests.

Expedition
